CHILDHOOD . the oldest of two boys, lyric wills was born into your typical nuclear family. a free spirited mother and father who settled down later in life, deciding they want kids even later. after a few desperate years of trying, they were finally blessed with a beautiful baby boy. lyric was surrounded by love since birth, growing up in a supportive household that centered their very existence around him. however, it didn't take long to realize that he wasn't like the other kids. dismissive, cold, and uninterested in anything a boy his age should be. he found joy in the most sinister, happiness in other's pain. complaints of lyric bullying other kids, and snapping back at teachers started in kindergarten. instead of admitting to themselves that something may be wrong, they refused to believe their pride and joy needed any outside help, but didn't want him to fall through the cracks, either. instead of truly acknowledging his growing alarming behaviors, they decide a stricter routine is all that's necessary. they throw him into piano lessons as a distraction, crack down on his grades, shelter him, and in turn -- his resentment towards them only grows. by the time lyric has reached high school, he's realized the only way to get suffocating parents off of his shoulders is to pretend. he pushes away violent tendencies, puts on the facade of polite, albeit distant, son -- and it works. they do whatever they can to support him, whether it's financially or otherwise, but emotionally, they check out. with already being focused on taking care of his younger brother, they see lyric finally behaving as a sign to step back. at this point in his life, lyric finally feels free. his persona used with parents slips into his school life, too. he becomes quite popular, and with his social circle growing combined with his lack of experience, his mask slips. he exposes his rage onto unsuspecting friends, feeds off of their fear that comes with the realization that they've never really known him ... this is when he realizes he thrives off of extreme reactions, and the chaos that comes with. however, this hunger grows to be insatiable.SATAN IN THE SUBURBS . by seventeen, lyric earns his first victim : a christian boy at school, who only ever spouts about the bible, spreading judgement onto others. lyric spends the better half of two months catfishing him as a girl from a different school, gaining his trust and foolish teenage love. eventually, they meet up - late at night, a secluded bridge. lyric reveals himself, then berates the boy for being a sinner, for falling in love with a man. shocked, upset, and frantic, lyric convinces the boy to jump. a monstrous pattern of destruction blooms. do not judge, or you too will be judged. for in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

POWER OVER LIFE & DEATH . not long after his first kill, lyric finishes high school a year early. he moves across the country to attend college, with the desire to be unknown. he thrives off of control, becoming the savior of other people's lives, just to rip it all away. the power of deciding who lives and more importantly, who dies. this, along with his parents willingness to support him financially while he's in school, leads to his interest in the medical field.EMBRACE THE MADNESS . now twenty-one and in his last year of pre-med, lyric acts as a ghost, disappearing in and out of people's lives as he sees fit, collecting a trail of victims throughout. his free time is spent at bars, preying for his next game, taking yet another girl home - when he unintentionally bites off more than he can chew. her displayed innocence shifts to provoked anger, and she reveals what he knows to be her true self to him. MARI DAI : an angel of death. from this moment on, lyric is in awe. he sees the potential she has, and he encourages this side of her. he urges her to act on her worst thoughts, even going as far as helping her plan her father's death.THE PATH TO PARADISE IS HELL . mari's need for violence grows after killing her father, and lyric shares his tactics with her. they become a duo of mass destruction, allowing each other to fully see one another like no one else has. lyric drops out three years into medical school, choosing a life of chaos with mari over continuing. during this time, lyric does not love mari, although he says he does. he confuses love with a desire to watch her descend into a monster, and the obsession of being her savior. eventually, after mari kills her mother by herself, she spirals into her own games, closing herself off, and leaving lyric feeling betrayed. after four years together, lyric silently leaves without a word to mari.SOMEONE TO HEAR YOUR PRAYERS . looking to feel control again, lyric starts to prey on those looking for a sense of purpose. he starts off what is seemingly a self-help group, building personal relationships with those who join, eventually making them feel dependent on him. this provides lyric with not only monetary gain, but more importantly, a sense of power that he felt was lacking. he constantly tests them, and their loyalty to him, twisting the self-help narrative into becoming something they worship.
